LIC Housing Finance Ltd. has adopted the 3rd Tribal school for CSR initiative with Full School Kits- School Uniforms, School Bag, Shoes and Socks distributed to the deserving tribal school students at Zapwadi Residential Tribal School, Murbad Taluka, Thane District, Maharashtra on 18th February 2019. Thanks to Mr. Subhodeep Das, Asst. Manager and Mr. Ajil Lawrence: CSR in-charge of LIC Housing Finance Ltd, Mumbai for their generous support . This school situated at Zapwadi village 40 km from Kalyan city. Most of the students resides ashramshala and some of walk around 1- 5 km to reach the school from their house. There are no library/toys for the students. They have PT Class but no game items at the school. There are teachers conduct ‘YOGA CLASSES’ as well as Exercise at the PT period. There are 680 students. The students belongs to below poverty level from agricultural laborer of the tribal community. The school hostels dormitory only for girls recently made by a donor. The boys do not having any hostel facility. Where the study at morning at night they sleep. The school toilets are in worst conditions. The absence of a sufficient proper toilet and urinal for the children makes their condition worse and bound them to live in an unhealthy and unhygienic environment. They have neither any storage or cupboards or having table chairs to keep their basic utility things and to study. The school students secured 95 % SSC result.
