Ph.D. student from Tata Institute of Social Sciences

Meet Namrata

Miss Namrata Lokhande, is a Ph.D. student from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She completed M Phil from TISS in 2015 and joined as a Ph.D. student in the same year in Social Work. In 2019 all of sudden her father expired due to a Heart Attack. He was the only earning member of the family. Namrata is the eldest child in the family which has become more difficult for her family to bear the expenses and pay the college fees. She had paid 1st to 6th Semester fees and She has had a balance to pay from semester VII to XIII. TISS Ph.D. department has given a letter for the same attached and unpaid fees breakup of XI, XII, and  XIII  attached. We are regularly kept in touch with Ms.Vidya Mhatre, Doctoral Students’ Office, TISS. Altogether she has a balance of RS.84,519/-

Her family stays at Vanvaswadi Post Krishnanagar, Satara, Maharashtra. They don’t have any source of income. Now it is very hard to run their house along with her educational expenses. TISS authority gave her maximum concession for her course & referred her to us for further educational aid. She is ready for her presentation but due to unpaid fees, she is unable to present her paper. Her guide  Prof. Dr. Swati Banerjee is very worried and requests for her again and again to support. She is really very needy.
