On the occasion of International Women’s Day, 16^th March 2023, the VIAVI Solutions – Mumbai Team celebrated the day at a remote tribal village. They donated 15 Sewing Machine with Sewing Kits, Snacks, and Energy drinks to the Tribal Women at Awlegaon, Murbad Taluka, Thane district, situated at the foothills of the Malshejghat area. All the Women were selected from 5 villages around the Malshejghat tribal community, who had been trained in Sewing earlier by the NGO. There were 60 villagers gathered of women and their family members for the event. Most of them were agricultural laborers and had no other source of income.
