In the year 2021, during the pandemic period, the NGO supported one tribal girl from Murbad taluka, Thane district. She got married during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are grateful to our regular donors — Ms. Radhika Sasahne, Ms. Jyothi Singh, Ms. Amrita Pai, Ms. Bindu Hingwala and her friends circle — for their generous support.
The girl got married on 4th June 2021 in Ahmednagar. She is a graduate and the daughter of an agricultural labourer, a single parent living near the Malshejghat area. She wished to take up a job, but within a radius of around 100 km, there are no employment opportunities available. She is very hardworking, and it is hoped that after marriage she may be able to take up a job for a brighter future.
